I work for a general dentist & one of my teeth had a root that fractured. We usually refer our patients to Dr. Calat for any & all oral surgery needs so naturally I went directly to him for an extraction and implant to replace the tooth. There was absolutely NO PAIN during any of my vists & the staff is WONDERFUL! I highly recommend Dr. Paul Calat to anyone who needs any type of oral surgery based on my personal experience.
I went to Dr. Calat to remove 2 Wisdom teeth and my experience was wonderful. I was very nervous making my appointment as I have never had any oral surgery before and Dr. Calat made me feel very comfortable. I was prepared to not be able to eat any solid food for a few days after my surgery but I was already eating solid food the night of my surgery! I healed a lot faster than expected and would definitely recommend Dr. Calat to anybody who is in need of an Oral Surgeon in Manhattan.
Dr. Calat and his staff are exceptional, having provided me with the most positive dental experience of my life. Dr. Calat is great and I would strongly recommend him if you have a serious oral problem. I have gone to him about 4 times because the problem I have is very serious and many oral surgeons said they could not do the surgery before going to him. I went to Dr. Calat when my primary care dentist recommended I have an apecoectomy which is where they remove infection at the roots of the tooth by going through the gum and bone. Dr. Calat saw me and after taking x-rays told me right away that it would be a costly, painful and ineffective procedure since the infection was not just at the roots. Dr. Calat is great. He is very attentive and excellent at what he does. You get the sense that he really is a perfectionist, and that is important in the case of Oral Surgery. His staff is also very helpful and nice. I am glad to have been referred to him. He removed my wisdom teeth, and, more recently, gave me an implant when one of my teeth was lost in a bike accident. He turned what was a nightmare into a pleasant experience.
I hadn't seen a dentist in over 15 years and Dr. Calat was very comforting and gentle. He extracted one tooth and soon will be doing an implant for me. The facility is very relaxing and I highly recommend him to anyone "scared" to go to the dentist.
Dr Calat is a great doctor, patient and professional. He did my tooth extraction sucessfully. But he charges more than other dentists. That's the only concern you should have considering him as your dentist.
