After a weekend spent battling an excruciating (and, I would later learn, serious) infection in an impacted wisdom tooth, I found Dr. Calat online and, based on his many positive reviews, I made an appointment for first thing Monday morning, though I was VERY anxious about the procedure. All of my anxiety started to fade away the second I arrived at the office, despite learning that all four of my wisdom teeth needed to be removed. Every member of the staff was friendly, willing to answer all of my questions, and very gentle... read more
Words cannot describe how good Dr. Calat is. He was the nicest guy and explained everything very thoroughly. The procedure was pain free and the staff was extremely courteous and attentive. Post-Op expect the following: Phone calls and emails asking how you are doing and if you have any questions or concerns. A doctor who really cares, unheard of now a days. I wish Dr. Calat would do regular dentistry and be my dentist. Thank you so much, Dr. Calat. Wendy B.
Dr. Calat installed 3-dental implants to recover my 3-missing top-front teeth on Oct. 12 '07. The procedure lasted about 45-minutes or close to an hour - I have chosen to be awake during the entire procedure. It wasn't painful at all since I was given shots of anesthetics before the procedure began - I would have been given more shots if the novocaine started wearing out and if i started feeling the pain but I never needed those extra shots of novocaine. Dental implants are expensive since my Dental insurance didn't cover th... read more
My husband went to Dr. Calat to remove a foreign body in his sinus. He is very anxious with medical procedures/doctors and he was totally put at ease! Dr. Calat is a rare doctor who takes the time to listen and answer all questions/concerns in a very honest and straightforward manner. It was very refreshing to get his unbiased opinions. You could tell he wants what is best for the patient and puts your health, and comfort first. All in all - satisfied and would recommend him to friends/family. AMLK
Dr. Calat came recommended through my primary dentist. I needed to have my impacted wisdom teeth removed. A procedure I had been putting off for many years due to my oral pain phobias! I had waited for more than six months to schedule my wisdom tooth extraction after my initial consultation only to have realized I had wasted time for nothing. The staff never came off as judgmental or impatient. I was done in less than an hour, I awoke with virtually no pain or bleeding. I had zero swelling and was able to commence normal eat... read more
My experience with Dr. Calat was wonderful. He and his staff are very friendly, and most importantly they placed my well being at the center of the relationship. Now a few months after the dental implants and reconstructive bone surgery, the front of my mouth feels natural, and my jaw whole again. My dentist, as he checked out Dr. Calat's work to fit me for crowns, described the dental implants as perfect. In looking at the x-ray of my jaw, there is not even a mark where there once was a hole. Without reservation I recommend... read more
I had a surgical implant by Dr. Paul Calat 4 month ago. I've had terrible fear of all dental procedure, but he was so gentle and caring, with great technique and knowledge , so my fear was almost gone. The result was excellent and I am ready to go to the next step. I wish I had my tooth removed by him also (yes, it was painful experience...) I highly recommend Dr.Calat as a great Oral Surgeon!
Simply amazing!! I had been ignoring a half decayed half impacted wisdom tooth for over three years. Exposed nerves and all. My last experience with an oral surgeon just 7 years ago was "knees on the chest / medieval". The combination of Dr. Paul's calming demeanor, his absolute expertise and the technology that has progressed so much recently added up to a completely painless experience. Thank you Dr. Paul.
I had an impacted wisdom tooth removed on 12/7/07 while under sedation. I can honestly say the procedure was fast, and painless. When I left the office I had no pain for that day,or the next. Had some minor irritation, but that has pretty much subsided. I'm 47 years old, and thought that having the aforementioned extraction would be a major ordeal.I was wrong on that count. part of which can be attributed to Dr. Calat's expertise as a surgeon, and the other part as a humanistic clinician who combinds the technical aspects of ... read more
