Dr. Calat is not a good surgeon. He pulled my infected tooth 2 years ago and sent me on my way without discussing a replacement treatment plan. I reached out to him on my own to come in for an implant, and he performed a very aggressive procedure that ended up in failure and extraction of the implant. He assured me the entire time leading up to the procedure that I'm in excellent candidate and did not once mention risk of failure (I understand, of course, that failure is possible in any procedure, but would expect a responsi... read more
Dr.Calat is a phenomenal doctor, not only highly skilled but compassionate too. Took me in just as they where closing because of the pain I was experiancing. Then he removed my tooth with precision and care. I'm very happy with my visit
We visited Dr. Calat's office in the city when my fiance' was referred to him by our dentist Dr. DePaola. Dr. Calat treated us with tender loving care. He is awesome, so personable, funny, and he really made us feel so comfortable as he explained exactly what the procedure entailed. I phoned Dr. Calat's office to make an important to have painful wisdom teeth extracted. I woke up the following day with infection and phoned back in hopes of an emergency appointment . They were able to get me in within 24 hours with surgery planned. I am exceptionally anxious and neurotic when it comes to medical procedures. Dr Calat is simply the best oral surgeon for me. He calmed me down made me relaxed, and explained every step in detail so I knew exactly what was happening before it happened. I sincerely recommend him as the best.
I have never reviewed anything or anyone but this time I must. I have never really had any surgeries or teeth issues. But somehow one of my teeth cracked and I needed an extraction. I went to 3 dentists and 2 oral surgeons before I found dr Calat. I was not comfortable with any of them and they all had different diagnosis!!! I had two Wisdom Teeth removed and a Cyst drained. I am 62 and the procedure went extremely well. I requested to be anesthetized and incurred no issues. Dr Calat's chair-side manner is very calming. The office staff and dental assistants are very professional. All insurance coverage and billings were clearly listed and presented prior to my procedure. Dr. Calat is fantastic!, The best!!! This was my 2nd time, the 1st was the extraction of an impacted wisdom tooth. In this case, I needed to remove a broken molar that was shaved down for the temporary crown I had but the tooth had become infected. Great dentist/oral surgeon. I had 2 extractions of molars a few days a go. His great surgical ability as extracted the 2 molars easily. He spoke to me at length and showed by example how he would restore my upper teeth. I have great confidence that he is the man to do this difficult job
