Room had a funky smell and we had to have the curtain closed all the time as the window was in eye line with the workers smoking shelter
We've just come back from a 2-night-stay in this hotel and have fully enjoyed it. Perfect location if you take public transport as there is a bus top in front of the hotel to reach the many beautiful places the area offers. Very friendly staff, spacious clean room with excellent internet connection and good food. The price-quality balance is fantastic, esp. if you book dinner and bed&breakfast.
Still a great hotel, after all these years. Lovely staff, nice rooms, decent food, all in a great spot. I first came here in 1983, whilst at school summer camp at nearby Side Farm. As 6th formers, we came down to the hotel on our last night, and some items went missing (ashtrays!) so the Landlord at the time chased us back up to the campsite, and quite rightly we all got gated. Nice to be back over 40 years later, and find it still thriving.
