Very down to earth place with a huge selection. Highly recommended!! I have visited Particia Buck Bridal last week (first week of feb 2010) and had a great time. The store is located on a nice street in Augusta, Maine (we are from MA) and there is free parking on the street right in front of the door. Patricia Buck Bridal is GREAT I spent about 3 hours this weekend at P. Buck Bridal and have to say, I think these reviews are off. Yes, there isn??t anyone fawning over you when you are trying on dresses ?? but you also don??t pay the markup you would in other bridal salons. I talked to the owner for quite a while on the phone and in person and she was very professional and helpful and answered all my questions. Patricia Buck Bridal is poor customer service Horrible customer service....beautiful dresses but I would not suggest doing anything but buy the dress here, if you need alterations go somewhere else.
Do not go here! Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever seen and the worst part is there is always a problem that they have to fix so you are constantly having to deal with them. DO NOT GO HERE!
HORRIBLE SERVICE My wedding party purchased 5 bridesmaid dresses from Patrica Buck. My maid of honors dress came in too small. They refused to fix the problem. They told my maid of honor she must have gained weight. They sooshed her in to the dressing room so other customers wouldn't hear her complain. She never corrected the problem and now we have to pay for alterations. WORST customer service I have ever seen!!!! NEVER NEVER NEVER go there!
AVOID I almost didn't have a wedding dress because of the lack of professionalism and customer service at this place. Avoid, avoid, avoid. I cannot say ANYTHING positive about this store or the staff. My dress arrived late and when I put it on, discovered that it had never been altered, as we requested. The "second" dress we got from Patricia Buck was altered poorly. I could barely get the store to call me back about the status of my dress after spending thousands of dollars. Total disaster.
This store has my vote! II had read the reviews and was leery of going all the way to Augusta but my daughter had done some web research and found that Patricia Buck's Bridal was the only shop in Maine that carried Pronovias. I called to make an appointment but was told that they didn??t make appointments.(which is not what I read in the reviews) It was a cold wet snow-slush day, when we arrived there was a basket of fresh clean slippers to wear. gorgeous dress, great service I found my experience to be totally different from what I read here. The staff was helpful and professional. I found the perfect dress at a better price than I found at another store. The owner was so nice to all of us, including my mother in law who is a little...umm...demanding. My dress arrived and it is gorgeous. No problems with the alterations or the bridesmaid dresses. All in all, I'd give Patricia Buck Bridal a big thumbs up and a big thank you!
Not the Most Pleasant Experience I went to Patricia Buck Bridal because it was the only Wedding gown Store within 20 miles of my home. She does have tons of dresses and the first lady I had experience with *Kathleen?* was nice and helpful. I tried on several dresses one day and they wrote down the ones I liked on a file card in pencil. They said that they'd keep track of those dresses so I'd be able to try them on again when I came back with my bridal party.
