What a Gem! Not fancy inside but wonderful friendly staff. My favorite two dresses are ones they selected for me! We were told not to worry about numbers of dresses I tried or even closing time! I'm from BOSTON and I would tell anyone it's worth the trip.
Question if they want the business My daughter was getting married. She and her two sisters went in to Patricia Buck to look for dresses. This was to be a formal wedding and what they were looking for was more important then the price at that time. However, when they went in they were directed away from the dresses they were looking at. They were told that unless they were really serious about buying, that these dresses were two expensive for just trying on. Reminded me of a scene from "Pretty Woman" - "You work on commissio... read more
Stay Away Lousy customer service and rude employees. We ordered a confirmation/first communion dress for our daughter in February more than two months before needed. Seven weeks later it arrived with a hem done by a two year old with dull scissors. On Friday at 5:30 PM before the big day on Sunday, we got a call that the fixed dress was ready to be picked up. We went in Saturday morning to get the fixed dress to discover that they were only giving us back the same old poorly done dress and would not give us a refund. Luckily... read more
A great selection for all sizes Patricia Buck Bridal is a great place to start your bridal gown search. They have a very extensive inventory of gowns in many sizes so there are plenty of styles to choose from. They also have many designers and are usually willing to tell you what style number the dress is. The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable about the dresses in their inventory. You will want to make an appointment if you're planning on going on the weekend, they are usually very busy.
"Brides, Beware" is Good Advice...Stay Away I was married in Maine in 2004 and although I did not buy my wedding dress from Patricia Buck Bridal, I did take it there for alterations. We were a bit surprised at the anachronistic record keeping, mentioned by other reviewers, but let it go. As it turns out, that was a big mistake. After the wedding, we took the dress back there because there was a preservation company they recommended to us. My dress has not been seen since. We are still going back and forth with them about res... read more
Mine was Ok...So far... I bought my wedding dress at Patricia Buck Bridal. So far, it's been an ok experience...The lady who helped us was very attentive. So the store looks a little crappy (looks like old sheets hung up for the dressing room curtains, very cluttered, not very well lit) but don't let that put you off. Luckily, I bought my dress off the rack so I didn't have to worry about any ordering problems...I did however, refuse to buy my bridesmaids dresses there. After I paid off the dress I went to pick it up immedia... read more
