Lovely park but cafe very expensive. £6.30 for apple pie, £15 for baked potato cheese and beans. So be warned.
A nice park to walk around. We took our dog and really enjoyed the calm quiet woodlands.
Visited here the other day , ( down from Scotland ) great forest to explore in , Most of the paths are excellent for all generation of family , young and old to walk through . Loved the ice house Lovely wee cafe to visit . The only slight negative is that you have to pay to get in , , but it's well worth it
Peaceful and quiet. Nice walkes in the forest and dog friendly. Says keep dogs on leads in the park. Lovely cafe and really friendly staff. Cakes are amazing. Have nice gift shop with quality and unique things. Bit sad the gardens are looking in need of maintance and the big house is closed off to visitors. Seems to be lacking money to maintain things...not surprising these days. If you are looking for a relaxing stroll in interesting park gardens then this is perfect.
