This small, somewhat eccentric café is a local favorite. The décor is certainly part of the café's charm- bright primary colors abound, the thrift store furniture is mismatched; mannequins, dolls and other toys decorate the window sills, walls and even the ceiling. But it's the food that keeps the locals coming back. It's a terrific blend of traditional home cooking and lighter vegetarian fare. The French toast (served all day) is one of the city's treasures.

Not kid friendly, made people wait even though there clearly were tables. Charged us 6 people 18% gratuity and we only had 4 and a baby. Good food, but the people were so rude.

My boyfriend is a truck driver and deliver food and food products to many restaurants in Baltimore, DC, and surrounding counties and is often served food at the restaurants he delivers to. Loved this place when I lived in MD. Now that I'm in California, believe it or not I have yet to find a similar place... Closest I've come is a Wahoo's with a mural of UFOs all over it. LOL
Expensive lackluster food and slow service, but a great management staff that is really on top of their duties. For example, if your car is parked in their lot for more than two hours, even after a snow storm on Valentine's Day, they will have it towed almost immediately! Really really good stuff.
