I’m African-American and they have a bad reputation in how they treat people of color. Just listened to a women’s story on Instagram about how they treated her as she requested aid for bleeding while pregnant. It was the words they used/they’re tone that was very concerning. It was quite disturbing.
Palms west is a terrible hospital. Don’t let their fb page fool you. Their labor and delivery nurses are the worse. Very mean and nasty including the doctor on staff. When I arrived to hospital with bleeding with pregnancy, I was told by ER I needed to be in Labor and Delivery. After 40 minutes of waiting in ER (bleeding) I went up and asked when I would be transferred, the ER staff said oops we forgot about you. RecommendedI had a recent surgery at Palms West Hospital via the ambulatory surgery center. Although surgery is never pleasant, my experience with all of the staff was. I first want to thank Dawn, who greeted me so kindly and made me feel comfortable on my preop and surgery days.
