Overall excellent care, have been to Overton Brooks VA now for a good many years. Great care same Doctor and nurses and surgeons, appointments always scheduled well.
I realize that some VAMCs are better than others. However, the OBVAMC is an excellent facility, the staff are professional, friendly, respectful and have always made me feel like I'm a priority as opposed to a statistic or problem. I have less of a wait time at this VA than I've ever had in the public sector of way overbooked physicians.
Va representative Marilyn was rude to me while she was visiting a patient on job then in turn calls my administration by his cell so unprofessional to have each others cell numbers and lie on me to cost me my job maybe bc she was haven a bad day but all of Shreveport knows of her attitude i have a better job but she just cost me grankids birthday feel you need to know of her attitude
Only gripe is the parking! But they building a new parking garage, sooooo maybe 2 yrs it'll be better
I was with my husband yesterday. It was amazing how great these veterans was well taken care of. What I could see it made me proud.
I always enjoy going to my VA appts. Iteally don't understand all of the ungrateful people that utilizes this Hospital with complaints of how they experience the place. They should be blessed we have it here so near. Once again thank you all at the VA that make my experience well.
Had surgery yesterday everyone was nice and friendly and made sure I was well taken care of and, comfortable thanks to Dr Romero and his staff had a check call last note and another this morning couldn't have asked for better treatment
Yes they are slow!!! Some of the doctors seem to care more about their status that than what the patient is saying and felling. Some of the departments knows how to treat their vets why others lack proper bed side manners
I can't say enough good things about OBVAMC. The Red Team 4 is top notch and my oncology team headed by Dr. Baluna is first rate, as is the Urology team and Dr. Fizili.
