Service tech was very good but $336 for a $15 part was a bit much. After reading the other reviews, it would appear this "gouging" is a systemic problem with this company. On top of the repair bill, I still had to pay the "service charge". I will not be calling this company again
Seems as though Oliver's service is going down hill. I had a part installed today that I've been waiting on since May, and another part I've been waiting a month for still wasn't in stock.
I live at the NJ Shore and needed to have some plumbing done at my home. I received an advertising brochure in the mail that Oliver's is now at the shore. I already had a quote from a local plumber. I called Oliver's and made an appointment for a quote. The technician showed up and gave me a quote for $2,029.00. My local quote was for less than $900.00. Long time satisfied customer. They handle all our heating and air conditioning needs. Use annual service/maintenance plan and find their technicians professional and courteous. They engineered our 100 year old home with central air and heating and we would not hesitate to recommend them.
We had a terrible experience with Oliver and would strongly recommend against using them. We had a water pressure issue and Oliver (Zach) came out to fix. They wanted to charge us $500+. We found another company that would charge us a much more honest price and asked the plumber to put everything back as it had been when he came. When he left our low water pressure turned into no water pressure. The plumber left without informing us of his departure. I will never forget two and a half years ago when they installed my heat pump and left the place a mess. They never caulked or cleaned up. I got animals in the crawl space. They did caulk after I reported them. Very arrogant company. I had a compressor break recently and I pray they installed it correctly.
I had a real pleasurable experience with Cetawayo "Tarik" Tyson tonight. Extremely courteous, professional, and helpful. I hope to have him back again. I would also like to thank Barb Deangelo for all her help from the office.
