Great location, Washington staple After a morning or afternoon of sightseeing, you can't beat the location of Old Ebbitt for a satisfying meal. Located directly across the street from the Treasury building, this is convenient to the White House at a reasonable cost. Food is ok, but atmosphere and location make up for it.
The Quintessential DC Eatery! The Old Ebbitt Grill is a unique experience not to be missed. You walk in and see the velvet booths and dark paneled interiors and wonder if you're out of your league. Great place We took some friends that was here from FL we had a great time! The foo was great! The big thing for us is how good they were with our kids, 4,3,2. They had a good time and had a great menu for the kids to pick from.
A Washington Institution This is a washington institution that deserves its status. While ceratinly not gourmet status, you can get a good meal here at a reasonable price.Great Martinis. Good for before or after Theatre. Always crowded and parking is a problem.
A Decent Restaurant The Old Ebbitt Grill is located right near the White House on 15th Street in Northwest DC. It is an upscale restaurant with a very spacious dining area. The food is good, but definitely not worth the price they charge. There are much better restaurants in the area. Never disappoints. Great food, attentive staff, waitress went out of her way to find decaf espresso beans! Not a single plate had a morsel left. Book early for the brunch experience.
