More amazing in person!! Incredible to be sitting in the the wood-fired tub gazing at the stars and tracing the silhouette of branches swaying in the distance with nothing else in sight apart from the cabin... Just wow! The tub was hot and all ready to use when checking in and takes a couple of hours to set/heat up each subsequent day - good to have your own water that's not overly chlorinated unlike most hot tubs. Gorgeous land, amazing views no matter where you look. This little home was well thought out, down to each detail of space. There’s plenty of room for luggage. We had 2 full size suitcases and our backpacks. Never felt crowded. Sam is very thoughtful and easy to communicate with. Cell service is spotty as others have mentioned but that’s great to disconnect for a bit. An enjoyable 3 night stay. Good amenities in the cabin. No wifi and minimal phone signal which was great to switch off and detox from modern life for a little bit. The hamper provided had local bread, juice, sausage, bacon, black pudding and some lovely seaweed crisps. We had asked for an alternate milk which Sam (owner) had sourced for us. If you want to switch off, find space and peace, while enjoy a little bit of pure luxury - this is the place. A rare night away, child free, to reconnect and relax - couldn't have been better spent. So many highlights... hot tub under the stars, wine and games, and a steak night from the local Penman's butchers. Comfiest bed, spoiled with local produce welcome pack, beautiful finishing in the lodge with such great taste in design. It's a shame we were only there for the one night.
