This upscale restaurant offers fine American fare. Photographs of many famous patrons, including military, political and sports figures, who have dined at the Occidental grace the walls. The entry level feels like a club, with a large bar, dark paneling and leather seats. The upstairs dining room is more formal with large booths, a small bar, and the patio overlooking Pennsylvania Avenue offers a wonderful view of the Capitol. Grilled meats and fish are the specialty. Lighter entrees are available as well.

The food was excellent and the service was even better.
The food here is always top notch, loved being the first to try out the new menu and was not disappointed. A great place for a date or business dinner.
Food is barely average at above average costs. Definitely would not go back or recommend (even on someone else's dime).
