The Oakdale Bar & Grill re-opened in February 2019. It is located next to the Oakdale Dam on the south side of Lake Freeman in Monticello, Indiana. Since then, the owners, Nick Blum, Dewey Brown, & Nicole Brown, have been motivated to not only continue the long legacy of The Oakdale, but they continue to provide a family friendly atmosphere with exceptional American Cuisine, Cold Beer, and Great Times.

We have been going to Oakdale for 6 years now, food and service was always great but tonight was the worst experience we have ever had ANYWHERE! We had a waitress that didn’t want to be there clearly! When we said thank you she didn’t say a word, our order was wrong, she didn’t ask us if we wanted refills just threw our check at us. We had our infant daughter with us and when we asked for a spoon for her applesauce she seemed annoyed. I have never had a waitress be so blatantly rude before. hamburger was not cooked completely and catfish didn't taste like catfish. I worked here back in high school and it sure didn't taste the same. very cold in the dining room too. we waited a long time for food. probably won't go back was not impressed at all
The burgers were on point!! Talk about a gut buster with all the trimmings. He got the 12 oz. and I got the 8oz. Also, the cheese curds and sweet potato fries were super fresh! Now, it’s time a nap 😂 Thanks Blake for whipping up a ‘Dam’ good meal!
Had din er last week party of 10. wanted to give it a shot. out of the small menu they were out of 3 menu items. I went for catfish consldering they have a giant catfish out front its there theme...out. ordered prime rib $2495 for super small cut and none of them came out as ordered and au jus tasted like teriyaki. sad to say this old favorite is gone.
A group of us stopped in this last weekend. 1st time since new owners. The Menu has shrunk, and the food was horrible. Not sure if the cook was having an off night, a cold or what. Not sure if will be going back unless its warm out to sit on the deck with just beverages.
The bbq bacon pork chops and dale beans are heavenly!
I was told the Oakdale was open again and had good food. I tried the bluegill. Perfect.
