The Oakdale Bar & Grill re-opened in February 2019. It is located next to the Oakdale Dam on the south side of Lake Freeman in Monticello, Indiana. Since then, the owners, Nick Blum, Dewey Brown, & Nicole Brown, have been motivated to not only continue the long legacy of The Oakdale, but they continue to provide a family friendly atmosphere with exceptional American Cuisine, Cold Beer, and Great Times.

Great views, great service
The catfish was the best we have had for quite some time. Service was terrific as well. The patio made it perfect.

Not sure what happened a $70 bill plus $10 tip for four to go meals that were not edible half the stuff was forgotten the other half was not edible overcooked smelt that was disgusting I don’t even think the raccoons would’ve ate this I was so disappointed what has happened to this one’s awesome place sad the place was a disorderly disaster

We love the Oakdale, carry out has been a perfect option to get our food and enjoy a picnic along the river during all of this. Food & service to our vehicle has been top notch every time! Last night we had tenderloins (per usual for half my crew) and the NEW breading was fabulous! Who knew they could top an already delicious breading! 4 thumbs up from those that had the tenderloins, everything else was scrumptious as always!
We really enjoy going to the Oakdale. It is definitely one of our favorite places to go eat. Keali Is the best bartender you could ask for! We always enjoy when she is working because we know it will be a good dining experience.
