The Oakdale Bar & Grill re-opened in February 2019. It is located next to the Oakdale Dam on the south side of Lake Freeman in Monticello, Indiana. Since then, the owners, Nick Blum, Dewey Brown, & Nicole Brown, have been motivated to not only continue the long legacy of The Oakdale, but they continue to provide a family friendly atmosphere with exceptional American Cuisine, Cold Beer, and Great Times.

RecommendedService was quick and friendly. Portions were huge. Food was hot!

Great view/atmosphere! Awesome employees! Food was plentiful! And the band they had, The Silver Birds, were great!
2 out of 3 times here with horrible service. It wasn't busy tonight at 5:30 and we sat at our table and watched others who came in after us get drinks and start to order food yet nobody came to our table after we were seated. We finally left and won't be back. Horrible service and wasn't even busy. I guess it they don't have much to do they don't do anything..
Food was great, great service also. Very clean.
after several poor visits (food was not good, fish was like mush steaks over seasoned not done to temp and tenderloin tough as nails) we thought we'd try again called to do a carryout (Covid) and they said they were to busy to take carryout orders.. i really thought over time things would get better but at this point we'll be going somewhere else.
°°Well I'd say it's the best catfish by a dam site.... lol
Great food and excellent prices And the scenic location what a hidden gem
Always enjoy my time at the Dale, and the new patio enhancements are excellent!
