Come enjoy her beauty and dream of her rich past . . . Located on the Mississippi River between the historic Louisiana cities of New Orleans and Baton Rouge, Oak Alley Plantation has been called the "Grande Dame of the Great River Road". Nowhere else in the south will you find such a spectacular setting! Gorgeous plantation, but the time frame allowed to browse in the plantation was very limited and seemed like we were rushed a bit. Would have liked more time to look and read what was displayed.
Beautiful and historic plantation
Nice , historical place to know the history of Louisiana plantation.
Craft shows family from south vacherie Stein
Terrific place to stay, restaurant is good, and staff is very knowledgeable about the plantation & very friendly!
The most beautiful place LOVELY!!!
Always great food, beautiful scenery and friendly staff
I would recommend the tour to those who have never been to Oak Alley. To all of us that have been to the plantation, the tour is boring all the stories are not told anymore. It’s almost like the tour guides are apologizing for the way life was back then. The tour guides no longer dress up, for my wife and I we probably will not come back. There are other tours that are much more interesting.
WOW! This place was everything I had hoped it would be. Beautiful house and grounds, and we had an excellent tour guide. This was a must do during our time in NOLA, and I’m so glad we made the trip. Would highly recommend!! Checkout my blog for more pics and details: OnTheRhoadesAgain.com
