RecommendedI’ve been banking with Northwest since 1991 when it was Woodproducts Credit Union. I’ve had great success with them. Northwest Free Checking, auto loans, credit cards, HELOC, Touchtone Teller, online banking, Autopay, etc. and have always received pleasant and respectful service. I’m old school, that’s for sure, but I prefer to keep my finances away from huge banking institutions where I am only a number.

nightmare to bank here. refused loans with 50% down and decent score, always putting unexplained holds on accounts, and bankers that don't care about the customer, but instead their score for raking customers across the coals. I pulled all my finances out of this credit union, as I never know when they will freeze my account with no explanation. there are much better banks than this one.

Several times I made my mortgage payment in branch. Every time I verified the post date would be the same day and every time I was assured. Surprise! Not quite true. Especially if they simply fail to even export the funds to Truhome. At one point I had two full payments in my savings account and a 60 day late. They would pull part of a payment a few days after I made it, then a few day later more of it. I finally decided to deal with it today. Their response?
