The North Portland Wellness Center (NPWC) was founded in 2007 as a holistic multi-disciplinary clinic. Founders Annabelle Snow, LAc and Lili Scott, LAc saw potential in a huge, falling down old Portland home and purchased it in 2005. Over the next 18-months, they cleared, lifted and completely renovated the building creating the space for the Wellness Center to emerge. Lovely peace and quiet – What a lovely, peaceful and quiet place. Every time I stop in - whether for a massage, chiropractic appointment or just to pick up a few supplements I want to stay. This is an oasis in our busy city. The building and gardens are lovely, and each practitioner offers excellent support and information for every aspect of my health. Highly recommended!
Portland's most relaxing wellness center – NPWC accepts Kaiser insurance, which is how I've been able to go for monthly massages this past year. What a gift! The building is beautiful, the staff is welcoming and courteous, and the massages have been GREAT! I also love their steps toward sustainability--solar panels, water catchment, a discount for getting here by bike or on foot...It's a place you can feel really good about supporting, and they support in return with practices for good health. Come check it out!
Fantastic care in a calm, nurturing atmosphere – I have seen two acupuncturists at the Center: Lili and Colleen. Both are caring, knowledgeable practitioners who are clearly gifted healers. I trust them with my care, and look forward to my appointments. The Center itself is serene and the front desk staff are extremely friendly and welcoming.
Best acupunturist – Annabelle Snow at the North Portland Wellness Center is just a gem of a find for acupuncture here in Portland, Oregon. Ever since I met her, I've been impressed with her kind disposition, insightful questions and comments about one's state of mind (and body), and calming use of overall good energy. Best Acupuncture! – I have been doing acupuncture since 2005 and Lili at NPWC is the most awesome acupuncturist I have ever had. She is an example of what a health care provider should be: she takes time to understand what is going on with me and she supports my leadership in caring for my body. LILI and NPWC ROCK!!
Accomodating... – My wife had an acupuncture appointment and we took a 20+mile bike ride leading up to her appointment. My back was strained and I was in pretty rough shape upon arrival at NPWC and I had planned on just sitting and waiting during my wife's treatment before biking the couple more miles home. It was a very nice surprise that late in the afternoon I was able to book a massage with no notice! May not happen again, but was sure appreciated that day. I'll be back with an appointment in near future.
A good place for authentic alternative therapy – Friendly and knowledgeable practitioners -they are kind and caring beyond description. I got very good results from my chronic pains associated with Fibromyalgia. Besides acupuncture and massage, I get practical and doable advices re after care and follow up at home. The place is beautiful - serene and calming in its decor with an additional bonus of a lovely garden. I recommend the caring services provided to anyone who has complications associated with CFS and Fibromyalgia.
Good chiro treatment – Simple, quick procedures provided immediate relief from (intermittent) back pain I've had for years, plus easy exercises to strengthen my back and prevent future episodes. Thanks Glenda!
Ahhhhh – Beautiful decor & a relaxing atmosphere as soon as you arrive. Great advice for follow up care and perfect pressure. Excellent choices of massage oil scents. Not only great people in the center but also wonderful members in the community. It was great to see them at the Mississippi Street Fair.
