The North Portland Wellness Center (NPWC) was founded in 2007 as a holistic multi-disciplinary clinic. Founders Annabelle Snow, LAc and Lili Scott, LAc saw potential in a huge, falling down old Portland home and purchased it in 2005. Over the next 18-months, they cleared, lifted and completely renovated the building creating the space for the Wellness Center to emerge. Healing environment – I go for acupuncture with Colleen and find it extremely healing and positive for my overall health. She is knowledgeable and a talented healer.
An excellent place for alternative healthcare! – I received acupuncture at North Portland Wellness Center and was thoroughly amazed at the professionalism of the practitioners along with the zen-like atmosphere. Great Acupuncturist! – I contacted North Portland Wellness Center for pain and numbness in my hands that I endured for about two months. I thought it might be pregnancy related and had no idea how to get relief. After my initial session I was immediately about 60% better. The acupuncture helped but in addition, Colleen consulted with me about my sleep position. We determined that sleeping on my side (required during pregnancy!) was causing the issue. relaxing environment, nice staff, acupuncture, and therapy! – I came to North Portland Wellness Center for acupuncture and massage therapy. It is nice that my history is shared between the two professionals and they combine their services to work on my common issue which is neck pain right now. With acupuncture and massage combined I am not experiencing the pain anymore. Great place to go for all your wellness needs.
Relaxing atmosphere, great service, best massage. – Plenty of bike parking.
Healing and Health – Nice waiting area. Professional yet comfortable feel. Dr. Glenda the chiropractor I saw was gentle and strong at the same time. I felt much better after going there.
I'm a loyal customer after just one visit! – I just became a customer and had a massage. I plan to visit regularly and have acupunture also scheduled. I like that my massage therapist recommended that I go to other therapists in addition to her so that I can get a good variety of style of massage. This will work great for scheduling and also it is nice to know that this is encouraged. At other places, I have felt an obligation to visit just one massage therapist.
Overall health – Just walking into this renovated house lowers your blood pressure and it seems that you are surrounded by wonderful energy. I am a firm believer in prevention and use acupuncture to keep me at my best. My ability to fight off colds and other ailments is worth the time I have spent at the house. The best part, if doing acupuncture, is the fact that you have to lie on the table and do nothing. What a great time to tune out...or tune in. massage was great! – Had a great massage done by Rachel. She can use really deep pressure and is totally open to feedback. The atmosphere is relaxing. It's a win-win situation w/ the ability to use health insurance and get a great massage-which I need monthly for my job and well-being!
