The North Portland Wellness Center (NPWC) was founded in 2007 as a holistic multi-disciplinary clinic. Founders Annabelle Snow, LAc and Lili Scott, LAc saw potential in a huge, falling down old Portland home and purchased it in 2005. Over the next 18-months, they cleared, lifted and completely renovated the building creating the space for the Wellness Center to emerge. I would highly recommend the NPWC. They give discounts for biking, they have a beautiful, cozy, old converted house, and they serve tea to help you relax before your appointment. Most importantly, Sarah, the LMT, got to the point, and relieved the stress I was holding in my back for months. The girl at the front desk is also very personable, friendly and made me feel right at home.
I have been looking for a qualified acupuncturist for a while. As I am very picky, it has been a long search. I just went to see Annabelle this morning and I am so happy! I have never had a new Doctor take so much time for an initial consultation as Annabelle did. She was calm and caring and extremely attentive. I have received acupuncture from two Practitioners at NPWC. I love the quiet, spacious feeling of the center, as well as the warm, professionalism of all the staff I have met. This is my first choice for a wellness center!
I have had wonderful results in the short time I have been seeing Colleen. I have had serious neck pain problems for years, and have been on a considerable amount of pain medication. Since starting with Colleen in October, I have been able to reduce my pain meds while experiencing an overall reduction in my neck pain. I have also had massage therapy with Tiffany. Amazing Acupuncture! – I've seen Mary Chen a few times now for acupuncture treatments, and feel so lucky to have found her! She has listened very closely when I've explained my issues & has asked a lot of questions to help figure out what needs to be done in my treatment sessions. She's gone far above what other acupuncturists have done and I couldn't be happier with her. The front desk staff is also really pleasant to work with & they have really great hours. I would absolutely recommend Mary & North Portland Wellness!
Great Experience & Warm environment – Hey! Front desk willing to work out a time and date that works best for me. Very good at knowing what is the most effective way for me to get better. Dr. Culbertson is a great Chiropractor! Can't wait to get acupuncture next :)
Welcoming, calming, relaxing, healing space – Colleen Bunker has done wonders for my physical issues--lower back, thumb tissue, finger joint, and the constant, always present pain in those areas. She has also helped my sleep issues and my moods! After frequent, regular visits for several months, the pain is diminishing and I can stay regulated with treatments every 3-4 weeks. She is a master at acupuncture and Chinese medicine and I have had great relief from her treatments and advice. Thank you, Colleen!
