I'm gonna forward the number for Lake City Neurology to my state representative and see if his office can get through to someone. placed on hold for countless minutes only to have the call disconnected. Apparently this is common practice as I have seen this complaint numerous times in the reviews. This is absolutely unacceptable.
I moved from Georgia to Florida and it sucks. My primary care provider in St Augustine is great. She puts my consults in like she tells me and then it goes down hill. I have to go to gainsville Va hospital for ortho and it sucks. I tried choice and it was even worse. I have been having shoulder problems for almost a year and a half. Been to therapy 3 times, shots snd all that relief for a little time and then pain comes back. After about 3 months I get an appointment and am told I will be put on schedule for surgery. I think the Lake city VS phone answering system sucks they want to not if you are wanting to kill your self no not till you have to listen the same thing about killing your self two time that's enough to make you want to do that then you get put on hold for45 mins they pick up your call call an haug up on you .then you call back for another 45 min hold to get hold haug again not 2 times but 4 times each time you hold for 30 to 45 mins just to get hug up on don't know if it the phone system are the worker they have be 9 out o... read more

Last month I called and told Denise Johnson I needed a Functionality Examination for Social Security. She told me she had got it done and sent it to Lakindra Sommons in Gainesville for approval thru Veterans Choice. Last Thursday I found out this was NOT the case and instead Denise requested a Physical Therapy request and NOT a Functionality Test request. Where does Dr.Joseph Edward Thornton get off changing stuff that helps Veterans? I have a service dog in training. But need a letter from the VA to get into a class next month for more in depth training. I was told today that he change the rules and that the Dr. staff can no longer write and give the veterans that letter. Thanks a lot for shafting the veterans yet again.
I am a new patient to the NF/SG VA Health system and the people here continue to exceed my expectations. My primary care team were just wonderful during my first visit and took extra time to discuss my care. I am very happy to be a patient here!
