I recently took my son to UNC ER. He was admitted for three days. To quote him the level of care was "light years " above other hospitals and Drs. We live an hour away, still totally worth the drive. Thanks UNC!! �
Not impressed at all. The nurses and Drs don't care and are unfriendly. The ICU room we are in is dirty and there is a hole in the wall with a nail sticking out. How is this sanitary.
My son has been here 14 days now, and 6 of those days on ECMO machine, the Dr's and staff here are fantastic, always answering your questions, and making your stay here as comfortable as possible..
I am not impressed. The knowledge, training and performance may be outstanding, but I have decided to go elsewhere. There is no empathy or concern from the doctors. A learning hospital is necessary, but compassion and empathy is vital. I will not post petsonal details of my experiences with UNC hospitals. But I will say that my medical issues are personal with me, and that the person treating me needs to understand and relate to that.
Rude , non caring people ! Everyone went back before we did & I will never go back !! They said ours was not emergency but my husband has not walked in several hours !!
Wonderful healing center, best doctors and nurses.
