Called by my Dr at 1130, come right now, have to be here in the next 2 hours..Checked in at 130 been sitting in waiting rooms since then, they still don't have an open room, and don't k ow when one will be open..I contacted the dr and he said sorry and that was it..So far my experiences with this place haven't been good, they have no concept of customer Care..

When I had skull base surgery at UNC Medical Center in Chapel Hill in mid-July, everything was handled with spectacular efficiency and consideration, beginning with my surgeons - Dr. Kevin Brown, Chief of Division of Otology/Neurotology, Skull Base Surgery, and Dr. Matt Ewend, Chair of Department of Neurosurgery - continuing across the entire spectrum of staff members I encountered in the three days I was an inpatient. Even the food was much better than expected. I can't imagine a better medical experience.

My father in law has had 3 surgeries for a brain tumor. Our most recent experience today has been terrible. The register was complaining about being over worked and under paid as she checks him in. The nurses in perioperative services were arguing and disorganized. The recovery nurse was very rude to my mother in law and wife as they were visiting him in recovery which he is having to stay in as there are no rooms available. If you can you need to go to another hospital than UNC in Rocky Mount, NC...because if you have a DPOA for yourself they will not be able to find out anything about you other than you are there and stable, you may stay in ER for over 12 hours after being admitted to the hospital and if you can not get to the hospital to talk to your friend forget being able to talk to your friend who you are a DPOA for.
