This stunning guesthouse is gorgeously appointed on every level. From lobby to lush rooms to dinning areas the No. 17 is a dream come to life. Not to be outdone, the seafront right outside its doors and immaculately clean windows is totally jaw dropping and well worth the short walk up the promenade from town. Stayed for two nights with dinner in the restaurant on the second. Room was lovely, although a bit on the small side with limited storage (we did book very last minute though). One thing that another reviewer mentioned was that the bed was quite short! At 5' 10", both our feet were off the end! Food wise, can't fault either breakfast or dinner. Well cooked, good ingredients and very tasty. Staff all very pleasant and helpful. Would stay again.

The location is perfect and I would recommend booking a room with a sea view - you won’t be disappointed. The decor may not be to everyone’s taste but it will be a discussion point! The service and friendliness of the staff has to be commended. Breakfast is not buffet style so you do need to order the day before. It was very good and not too large portions either. We didn’t eat in the restaurant so cannot comment - there are a lot of good places to eat in Oban. The hotel is definitely worth a visit!
My mom and I stayed here for 2 nights and had a lovely time! The staff are extremely friendly, welcoming, and helpful. We ate at the restaurant our first night here and the food was delicious! The breakfast is also amazing (I highly recommend the French toast!) The view from the restaurant and room is gorgeous, and it’s a very short walk to the town center. The hotel was very peaceful, clean, and relaxing. We absolutely loved our stay and highly recommend no. 17!!
