The No More Digging contractor for the west of England twice failed to turn up at the agreed time. This showed he couldn't be trusted to do the job, but when I tried to get my deposit back, he said the contract allowed him to keep it. I was shocked to find this is true. Even though I hadn't seen the contract, by paying the deposit, I had agreed to it. The guys turned up on time, explained what they would do, and had all of the ground screws installed really quickly with no problems or hassle.
