Loverly place for a walk
A profound spiritual experience. If you're lucky enough to manage to be here when no one else is there, you can feel the magic. The stone circle and surrounding woodland feel like you are back in the bronze age in a simpler time.
Sadly the area around the stones had a lot of litter left by wild campers and walkers. I cleaned up a bit, but it spoiled the experience somewhat.
Love this place so much. Such a beautiful place to walk around.
Limited places to park, nearby the entrance... Pleasant place to have a picnic Beautiful scenery, extremely peaceful to relax and unwind. Fifteen to twenty minutes walk from roadside to get to the nine ladies stone circle, steady walk on a rocky in places path on Stanton Moor, near the village of Birchover which is mentioned in the Doomsday book according to Wikipedia saying it was once owned by a man called Henry de Ferrers
Nine Ladies Stone Circle has a 4.6 star rating with 968 reviews.
