I found Nicola’s designs in a small bridal shop in broughton astley and loved them. I fell completely in love with a strapless one but I also really liked the off the shoulder look. Nicola made a detachable piece for me to have off the shoulders throughout the day and during my first dance I was able to take it off and have the strapless look for the evening. I chose and paid in full for my Nicola Anne gown through a bridal boutique that went bankrupt. What could have been a hugely stressful experience was not at all. I spoke to Nicola directly via email and she not only honoured the order (despite likely not being paid by the shop i had ordered from), she followed up to ensure it had been received by me after getting it couriered from the other end of the country. I went to Nicola Anne after visiting several local boutiques but not finding the dress that was right for me. I must admit I found the whole experience of wedding dress shopping a little overwhelming and stressful, there is so much choice and so many different opinions to consider! We also wanted our wedding day to be as eco-friendly as possible and so the idea of having a dress made and shipped from Australia or America really wasn't appealing. Choosing a right wedding dress seemed to be a very overwhelming task, because I couldn’t imagine my skinny self in one of such dresses.
