My terrible experience took place at the West Kendall location during a visit to the urgent care during Mother’s Day: Rather than your most customer service complaints, the type of service I received at this facility was very alarming considering it has to do with my child's life. I received the wrong diagnosis regarding my 7-month old baby's symptoms; they were disregarded as just a "regular cold," the "pediatrician" did not prescribe any medication. My baby almost died!!!!! The hospital nurse in ER administered .3 mls of morphine to my 3 month old preemie which only weighs 8.4 pounds). The dose was suppose to be .03 which we were later told by doctors! My baby immediately turned blue and stopped breathing. The worst part of everything today is 12 days after discharge and no one has even called to see how baby is doing. Thank God he is well,no thanks to Nichlaus Children's hospital!!!!
I didn’t realize the names changed but back in 2006 I had major spinal surgery when this was called Miami Children’s Hospital that saved my life. My surgeons, doctors, nurses, and all the staff in general never once gave up and made it feel like I was a part of their family and comforted even in such a dire time. I owe them all for who I am today.
Me quito el sombrero ante ustedes se portaron de maravillas con mi hija. Deberían haber más hospitales como este, tanto en Puerto Rico como el mundo entero. Gracias a todos los especialistas q vieron a mi hija por su gran empeño en ayudar a mi hija. Estoy super feliz y yo como madre me sentí bien cómoda y a gusto por todo lo q tienen para entretener a los niños en un momento tan difícil como lo es cuando uno está enfermo. Get ready for insane bills. We went in for a simple x-ray or my son's finger which did not turn out to be broken. The hospital did an xray which was $292.00 and the Doctor came out to tell us to put ice on it ans that it wasn't broken. I got a bill for almost $1400.00 after our insurance had paid. I was told that this was the way it was billed, our insurance only covered $300.00, the rest was up to us. There was no itemization, apparently just walking into the emergency room is a $1204.00 charge. Wow. Stay away if you can. B... read more
The emergency room experience was horrible! Did not get out of the hospital until 5 hours later and there was not that many patients. At the end my daughter was still feeling bad and they did not give any medications. Came to her pediatricians office and they gave her the medications she needed. Never again. West Kendall is way better l.
