Loved our week stay in the lodge. Great location and service from Katie when checking in was second to none. Hot tub and sauna used often. Tv very rarely on as no need. Totally chilled and relaxed. Lovely to see the deer outside our bedroom window in the morning.
After seeing the great reviews we had high hopes for our stay. We found ourselves a little disappointed; the furniture was stained and couch cushions were damaged, walls marked all over (including a large dead insect squashed on to the ceiling in the master bedroom), and skirting boards had lots of spill stains on them. The overall cleanliness was below expectation (we found hairs in the linens and the bathroom), and we didn't find the facilities particularly well equipped. Had a fantastic stay whilst doing a dentistry course. Hot tub was great to use in the evening. Lovely open plan design with lots of glass and light. Would recommend taking an eye mask as can get quite bright in the morning from one window which cannot be covered. The surrounding woodland had some beautiful walks and the dog loved it. We had the most wonderful stay at Newlands Lodges. The décor was beautiful and gave the whole place such a warm and inviting feel. The hot tub and sauna were a real highlight – perfect for unwinding after exploring the area. The location itself is absolutely breathtaking, surrounded by nature and so peaceful.
