This company, NetSpend, is positively criminal! I tried to activate my card so I could have my pay check direct deposited onto it and they said I needed to send them proof of ID, Social Security, and address. I did all three and they would not accept two of the VALID forms I sent. Finally after much aggravation, I decided to just activate as a one time use card. My 13 year old son received their prepaid Visa debit card in the mail. He's not even an adult obviously. How in the world does this company have his information. My wife and I read through the documentation in the letter. Very shady, it's worded to my son as though he requested this card. How do we get his name removed from their system?

i recently have had my information stolen and someone tried to use my account. Netspend acted quickly and froze my card and account(without notifying me) when i called customer service they told me the situation and said they would mail me a card in 1 to 2 business days. here we are almost 2 weeks later and no card. I called customer service to see what the problem was and they said no card was ever ordered! they assured me AGAIN that a card would be mailed to me in 1 to 2 business days. I received a Netspend debit card in the mail unsolicited. The correspondence that the card was affixed to indicates"[I]f you don't want this card, please dispose of it securely". I resent companies imposing on me an obligation to dispose of something I never requested in the first place. Additionally, I object to the nature of this business which appears to be charging people to access their own money for the marginal benefit of receiving it a couple days earlier than would otherwise be the case. This company is awful. I loaded over $300 dollars on their netspend prepaid visa, and I tried to activate my card, but they couldn't for whatever reason. So I wanted my money back, and I was put on hold for over 2 hours!!! and I still don't have my money back.

My debit card was recently stolen, activated,and used by thieves!!! A total of over $1800 was stolen from me, I called the police immediately when I realized that my card was being used, I've submitted a police report to NetSpend, I've done everything that they've asked me to do and send in. Now Netspend is telling me that I have to wait a whole month before they can give me an update as to what their decision will be. this company is so bad . never experienced such bad service no body know anything reasons ect . no hire up to talk to closing accounts . so upset . if i get this issue fixed i will never recommend this company to anyone worst ever

My money was taken from me by a Chase ATM. I filled the dispute with Netspend who still have not refunded my money, I am unsure what the hold up is I provided everything! I do mean everything I sent them a written and typed statement regarding the dispute (signed by me). I also sent in the receipt I received from the ATM with the error code and sequence number. This is a horrible experience!
