In my opinion, Nations Lending Corporation is the most dishonest, unscrupulous, manipulative, and corrupt company I've ever dealt with. They promised me things they knew they couldn't deliver just to get me to close the loan. They took exceedingly longer than they assured me it would take to close the loan, and at the last minute ... at the closing table, I didn't get back the money they quoted in the documents. I spoke to one of their lenders several times and sent over all of my husband's personal information. I told her several times not to run his credit. . 1st not until we found a house and 2nd not until she was sure that based off our tax returns they could lend to us. She assured me several times that based off our tax returns that they could in fact lend to us as long as my husband's credit was good. I told her that his credit was excellent. This has been the worst experience I have ever had. It has been 1 year working with them to obtain and FHA loan on a house priced at $68,000 with a value of $195,000. Every time over the past year they have come up with an issues to be resolved I have resolved it. All of my requirement as far as I can tell that FHA require is above minimums and below the maximums. Sent all personal info (financial,work, etc..) to them, Jesse W****** financial officer. They said no problem will contact you later with int rate etc... 2 months later and several emails to him/them and it appears they have fallen off the face of the earth. Don't make me warm and fuzzy knowing they got all my info in whomevers hands and I'm out a refi that was so promising.

Shuntay and NLC loans were absolutely amazing! This was my first mortgage and first home purchase. Shuntay helped me through every step of the way. She was there from the beginning in getting my pre-qualification to questions I had right before closing. She was extremely knowledgeable and always made herself available- even on weekends! Nations Lending loan servicing is terrible. They have a unique way to calculate escrow that no other loan servicing companies use. Their method creates huge payment increases to their customers, which in turn create huge overages in the escrow account , which will just sit in the escrow account for a year! Their method is collecting 6 months of additional of escrow, instead of the legal maximum of 2 months. Their service reps don't even know how to use a calculator. Appalling ethics.. they employ salesmen to "get you on the hook" at any cost even at the time of disclosing all personal information "sure, all will be fine" (say anything to please) and then the underwriter will drop you. Disgraceful. I concluded they must pay their sales people on lead generation only. Take my advice and avoid this company!

I dealt with Nations Lending for a refinance earlier this year. After starting the process, it was difficult to receive any call backs or information and was ignored until I called the company complaint line. Once we were going again, we waiting for the appraisal to come through. My appraisal came in 50k under what I was told we would be in the ballpark for. Purchasing your first home should be a happy time in ones life...not with this company. This has been the worst experience of my life. These people are completely incompetent. They flat out lie, give false information, refuse to let you speak with any member of management. They are horrible. We had to extend our closing.
