Making the most of the weather whilst dry we did a circular route around Roseberry topping taking the path to the right via the shooting box to go to the top and then came back down the steps back to the car park which has good toilets, ice cream van and coffee snack van. This was around 2.3 miles and took us just under two hours, with 15 minutes at the top of the hill to take breath and take in the views. Car parking was £3.80 for 2 hours so not bad but another one that isn’t free to members.
Climbing Roseberry Topping is always such a rewarding experience! The walk up can be a bit steep in parts, but the panoramic views from the top are absolutely breathtaking and well worth it. On a clear day, you can see for miles across the North York Moors and Teesside. It’s a perfect spot for a hike, a family outing, or just to enjoy some fresh air in beautiful surroundings. The area is well-kept, peaceful, and full of natural charm. A true local gem and one of my favourite places to visit!
