Hotel needs upgrading, the bathroom is very old and needs at least some minor work, housekeeping needs training. In the afternoon the pool was closed for a private event ... what about the guests who paid for the room??? I have been going to the national for many years, but this time I was very disappointed and will not be going back.
It is a beautiful hotel. We enjoyed our 3 night stay. However previous comments regarding housekeeping and the concierge match our experience. Housekeeping gave minimal replacement towels. Onee day only one washcloth. They also did not clean or replace glasses. Concierge lacked knowledge of the White Party events for which this was the host hotel. What a great hotel. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The rooms were comfortable. The pool and beach area are clean and beautiful. We had an amazing lunch on the outside terrace. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the South Beach area.
