I love the Emerald Aisle. Chose a little red Toyota that drove like a champ until... Backing up in the parking lot at my hotel a few days later, Grrrrrrrnnnnnccchhhhh. The hood prop up bar popped out and fell down to drag on the ground. Not a problem; I crawled underneath, pushed the rod up, popped the hood, and pulled out the rod. I did report the problem when I checked in.

There were no cars in the Emerald Aisle and 15 of us waiting in line for cars to be restocked. Typically have had a great experience. This time it was not so much.

I am a loyal customer of National Car Rental because they provide the best value for money. Good choice of cars and fast and efficient service. I especially like their Emerald and Executive Isle service where you pick the best available vehicle and you drive out of the parking lot in 5 minutes. One improvement I would like to see is the frequency of shuttle bus in places like O'Hare.

My overall experience with National in Boston was good. The only problem I had was whenI picked a car from Emerald Ile and it turned out the car's insurance was expired. I had to go back, pick another car, and line up again to check out. Valuable mintues lost on my way to a meeting ...

Didn't realize the EZ pass for the car was almost $4/day!! I had 2 tolls and even asked the attendant how many tolls going south I would hit and she said 1. So going and coming back cost me $6 each way. National should be honest about this and tell the customer the price to rent the EZ pass and if it is worth it. This is totally ridiculous.

I had a late arrival at Logan Airport. There were no cars available. I took a Jeep Compass that seemed ok however after leaving the airport I knew why it was the last car left! The front brake were very loud even a low speeds. I tried adjusting the seat and it would stay in place. It even shifted while driving on the highway! Terrible experience this time!
