Signed up to locate long lost relatives. When I checked in after paid subscription took effect, I discovered they dropped my reputation score by 4 points without any changes to my report. I called and cancelled both of my subscriptions and aske to deactivate my account, which they complied. After realizing a report was still there I sent an email requesting removal of my bio. It was nice to see what people could see about me and be able to switch it to private as well!! To also see who had been searching for me was interesting also!! Customer service was awesome when I called was only on hold for 2 mins!!!
If they show an inaccurate picture of me, how much of the information that they "get from public sources" is associated with the correct person? Also, if my spouse's citation for improperly displaying a boat license is a "criminal record", anyone with a moving violation is displayed in bad light. Food for thought.
I am stunned about interactions w/ this company or something calling it'self a company; "My Page" is completely false = not at all reflecting who I am or anything accurate. AND NO... I cannot "control" my page" unless I"PAY". Seems like something falling under the definition of extortion... but Mmm... in "Calli" things are different including dictionaries too I guess. I have been asking mylife.com to remove my information from their website, but instead I get a note stating that the information can't be removed as it is public information and can be easily found through an internet search, and try to sell me a subscription. Predatory practices!
This company isn't complying with California's Automatic Renewal and Continuous Service Offers law (SB-313).
Lies about people and when you try to get your information taken off you get charged. They say one amout and charge your credit card more! This is very dangerous and hurts your reputation.
