I have received several courses of physio at MAH from various of the practitioners. The treatment has always been very personalised with a series of home exercises delivered on paper or via the excellent PhysiApp. I have received particularly great treatment and care from Jané who has had the opportunity to get to know me and my activities. This has helped with a truly holistic approach. After enduring Long Covid for 18 months I approached the LC Clinic at Mt Alvernia, who referred me to Julia Thorpe. I started out in a bad place, but after less than 12 months of LC therapy I've now got my life back! I can't speak highly enough of the team and in particular Julia's wonderful calm, compassionate professionalism. If you are suffering from Long Covid I'd strongly recommend Julia and the team's therapy.
After having a pro lapsed disc, the physio team (especially Suzy who I saw) have been absolutely amazing. Giving me exercises to work on and the confidence again to start doing these. The Pilates course I also did with Yana was fantastic. Recommend to anyone that needs physio to come here.
This is a well run physiotherapy department with all sorts of specialisms - in my case I was assigned to Julia Thorpe who is connected to the Long Covid Clinic. Julia demonstrated a thorough understanding of fatigue management and its multifaceted nature. Her approach was professional and compassionate in creating a personalised recovery programme for me. Julia's expertise and supportive manner make her and this clinic an exceptional choice for anyone suffering with Long Covid.
