I was not impressed. It had been years since I’ve been here. I live out of state now and to bring my guest here was embarrassing. We actually moved to a different bar because of the rudeness of one of the bartenders. The ventilation system is very poor, just way too smoky. I couldn’t understand why the bathroom lines and restaurant lines were so long. The casino was loud, smoke filled, and nowhere to sit. The room was okay, but, you can hear “activities” going on in other rooms, both in the room and in the hallway. Ewwww.
The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious and clean. The Amnesia Room was the perfect venue for our meeting.
From the moment I stepped inside, the amount of smoke filling the air was almost unbearable. We walked through clouds of it until we reached the other side where the restaurants were. Luckily there is no smoking in the restaurants. The buffet was good. It had a lot of choices and the food was tasty. We then headed back through “black lung corridor” to a lower level corner to play the slot machines for a bit. It was very crowded. Also, the parking there is a joke. Do not expect to get a spot close to the door.
Great place to go if you want to waste your time driving there, to have the losers checking ID’s at the door not be able to verify that a license is real when it is. Might want to re train them since they have trouble verifying legitimate identification. �� Go to Greek town before you waste your time at MotorCity, it’s a better place to spend money anyway ��
The people who work there are extremely smug. They don't care if our room was not ready and had to stand in line to receive our key, we requested additional blankets which we never got, the wait staff at the lodge restaurant didn't care. The place was empty and it took over an hour.. The kitchen has it together but not the wait staff. Our lights didn't work in our bedroom. When we brought it to the attention of the mgr, he talked down to us, apparently we said shit as we where explaining the story and he cut us off, refused ... read more
The hotel was fantastic and the staff was great as well. The rooms were very clean and there was so much to do at the hotel to keep us entertained! Will definitely be coming back next year for another hockey game!
What a mess...when you finally check in, the rooms were not ready. They’ll call you when it’s ready, but will be at least another hour. At that point, you have to go stand in another line to get a room.
I stayed in October 2017 and was bitten by bed bugs. The staff was very rude .... risk management in particular. I have been a long time customer of this casino who has spent lots of money �. Also this was one of my free rooms �� I really like this casino until this incident and refuse to stay there ever again. Also, there have been more recent incidents of bed bugs posted right here on Facebook.
