We just stayed there for the first time. Was fairly impressed overall. Room was very nice, spacious, and clean with a great view. The only negative thing I have to say while most of the staff and valet were friendly and courteous- however the night before checkout I inquired about a late checkout. The person at the desk said I needed to call down in the morning. When I did call down the lady was pretty rude and said all of the late checkouts were taken. Free valet parking was a bonus in our overnight stay. Our room was handicapped equipped, although we did not request. Nice room, with a great view. Room service was amazing. Security everywhere made us feel safe and secure.
My Husband and I enjoyed our stay here! Easy and quick check in and we were upgraded to a bigger room for no extra charge due to our room not being ready. The room was perfect. Staff were very friendly. Room service was extremely quick. Shuttle to the Little Ceasars Arena was a huge plus. We would come back again for sure!
If I could give no stars, I would. Horrible experience. We were here for 3 days for a tournament. Can’t go into the food section of hotel without smelling cigarette smoke and then smelling like cigarette smoke. Lobby of hotel even smells like smoke. Hot water in tub of our room did not work. They had to send someone to fix it. The next day our air conditioning AND refrigerator did not work. They sent someone to “fix” them and neither one worked for the duration of our stay. Hadn't been there since 2010, and now I member why. Over crowded, dirty , rude people. No buffet ( now). Be another 8 years or more before going back. We had to go here. We couldn't get into greektown ballet was full and was $20 for self parking !!! 😳

The Windows and carpet were dirty the comforter had what lookes like Ink stains toward the end of the bed and the hot water went out. No shuttle to anywhere other then LCA or Ford field, we weren't going to either, the food and the customer service were good. All in all we will not be coming back anymore, just to many down sides. To bad to, we have been coming here for the last few years but no more.
Of the casinos in Detroit as well as the ones I've stayed at in Vegas, they had the nicest rooms with most amenities. This was in comp'd rooms too. A lot of casino hotel rooms only have stand up showers whereas Motorcity has tubs. Few years back the bar crowd coming in and starting trouble as well as just sitting around taking up space was an issue. Motorcity totally cleaned up that issue. Haven't seen that in several years. The front desk was very nice.. the room was clean just a few stains on the carpet.
