Avenue5 Residential is not a company that leases apartments to people. It is a criminal organization that extorts and terrorizes its victims, who they call "residents". Tyler A*****, the slumlord of "The Merc" is as crooked as they come. He runs the establishment with no semblance of human empathy and an insatiable greed. Ascent Campus of Life in San Diego, CA is managed by this company. The property itself is falsely labeled as a “school” and so they received all mail at the front desk. Upon move out we were promised all mail would be held for us (since it cannot be forwarded) & they proceeded to throw our mail away illegally since. We’ve filed a complaint with the ****mail inspectors & have lodged a complaint with the attorney general of CA. I thought the old management company was bad, but this one is worse!!!!!! I’m continually putting in work orders, sometimes 5-7 requests and they have never gotten to any of them! I’ve lived at Hidden Meadows Apts for going on 10 years and it has been such a joke since Avenue 5 management took over!!!! Some of my issues are fire hazards and they still won’t get around to taking care of it!!!!! They are horrible!!!! Know wonder they have a one star rating!!!!

I would give 0 stars if possible. I was applied to be a guarantor for my son's apartment. Rent was quoted at 744, received an email with price breakdown of all fees, rent, deposits, etc which also stated the rent was 744. this documentation (created by them and reiterating the price of the apartment) was not sufficient. The lease indicated the rent was 889. I asked them to change this amount and my request was refused and I was informed the "apartment rents for over 1,000 dollars now". this discussion took place the day keys... read more

The apartment was mediocre at best, and the on-site staff were friendly. But when I moved out they charged me $800 to replace what they said was “urine-soaked carpet.” Utterly ridiculous. There was no such issue. I had room-sized Persian rugs throughout the apartment, so how could there be stains on their carpet? I tried to get them to fix the dishwasher for 8 months. No response. 6 months for them to address an issue in the bathroom. And when there was a fire in the building next to ours we were the ones who alerted 911 and... read more

The worst place to ever live, Can't express it enough. I read the reviews before moving in and thought some people just personally had some bad experience and took it out to them on the reviews... I should have listen to them. If I could give 0 stars I would. I was a resident of an Avenue5 property, Keeler's Corner in Lynnwood WA, and I recently received an email stating that my former roommates and I collectively owe about $1260 in move out costs and "damages", with a large amount being for carpet replacement. The carpet was damaged when we took possession of the unit, this was documented in the inspection, and it was promised that upon our move out that the carpets would be replaced due to their poor condition. Ive lived in many different apartments, Metro at Main in Corona CA is by far the worst. It may look like luxury apartments from the outside, but let me tell you how it really is. When you build "luxury apartments" in an area where there is a lot of crime you would think that they would hire great security? NO. When they first opened these apartments they had great security that would be driving around the complex all night. NOW, they downgraded to security that we cannot find EVER.. Short and Sweet. I live in Denver, Co. Letter from Health Dept no hot water for 3 months. Letter from Health Dept due to sewage coming out of my Dishwasher. Letter from Plumber saying they were told of issue 3 years ago and didnt want to pay to fix it.
