We have been back many times and stayed in the Cooks Suite, with our son and dog and always have a great time. The accommodation is large and spotless and decorated and appointed to a high standard, parking is easy and access is next to your accommodation. The outdoor space is fantastic and the fire pit, hammocks and picnic benches are great to be able to use. My wife and I got married at Moreton House last September and wanted to thank Helen and Harvey for everything they did to make our day as wonderful as we could have hoped. The venue is beautiful, the apartments luxurious and we can't recommend it highly enough for couples considering a wedding in the North Devon area.
You couldn’t ask for better hosts than Helen and Harvey at Moreton House. From start to finish, they went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Nothing was too much trouble. They recently hosted my Rotary President’s Evening and — wow — what a fantastic event it was! The setting was stunning, the hospitality warm and genuine, and every detail was thoughtfully taken care of. Our guests were blown away. Highly recommend for any special occasion or just a peaceful, elegant getaway.
Outstanding value in beautifully converted Georgian House. We had a fab short break (4 nights) in The Cooks Suite. I really cannot fault this property all the key elements were top end, good super king mattress, excellent bathroom, well equipped kitchen all presented in wonderful surroundings. A real 5 star experience which is hard to find in self catering lets. Our host Helen was super helpful and was a delight to deal with (we booked direct).
What a fabulous place. A high quality conversion in a wonderful old stately home. Comfortable beds, spotless bathrooms, well equipped kitchen, lovely space for socialising. Great gardens for walking the dog - and a spirited game of croquet. Good location for visiting local attractions. Highly recommended
