If you need a diagnosis for your child, know that this is one of the worst places to do it. My son's appointment was scheduled when he was 2 years old and would be held when he turned 3. Yes, we waited in line for exactly one year. And when our day arrived, the doctor simply said she wouldn't have time to give the diagnosis because it took 15 minutes for us to get into the consultation room. We took our son here for a second opinion of a potential heart murmur. Was seen by a doctor for less than 5 mins and was in and out of there in 30 mins. All dr told us is yes he has it and there is nothing to do about it. Was assured our insurance was in network and no indication that we would have to pay out of pocket. Then we got 2 bills one for $145 and the other for $1936. Please explain to me how you can charge my insurance over $5k for a 30 min appt and then expect me to pay over $2k out of pocket without talking to me... read more

Edit: i think they are trying to remedy this issue, fwiw. The people there took good care of my son, while he was there. But heaven forbid you ever actually need your records!! They are holding them hostage in DC and no amount of urgency will get them to you sooner. I have to cancel 2 surgeon consultations bc I can't get there to get them. PART OF THE JOB is giving the CD to the patient. Why don't they do this?! But also what is keeping doctors from accessing technology in 2024?? We are so tired already-but sure, ask the pat... read more
