My 1 year old son was in a bad truck accident and I was at Vanderbilt for almost 2 months. I was so ready to get to come home but Vanderbilt made sure that not only my son but I was comfortable! They did everything in their power to make sure he wasn't in pain and was getting better. I'm so thankful we have a place like this. I knew if I left to go to the adult trauma to see my husband that he would be taken care of. so very thankful for them!
My son was transported by ambulance to the emergency room for a back injury. We were met in our room by three people who got him settled and left the room. We were there for six hours and never once did a nurse come in and check on my son. I asked multiple times if I could find out what was going on. One doctor came in and stood for about five minutes and said I think will be OK I will check with my supervisor. From the moment my grandaughter had to come to the imaging department on March 9th, 2015, through surgeries, long-term care, heart transplant, more long-term care and beyond to the current date December 4th, 2015, we have been made to feel like part of a family! There's no one here that didn't go above and beyond to make everything as easy on us as possible. Not just the medical staff but every employee involved in the running of this hospital. this Hospital is amazing i have had ALL my surgeries here with Dr. Kelly, hes a great surgeon. Our respect for him. This hospital does everything to make a child feel better and i like that about Vanderbilt
When my daughter was just a few days old she had to be transferred to this hospital due to the hospital we was at not having a nicu. My daughters stay was very short but it felt like a life time. Most of the doctors and nurses we had was wonderful and made our time there so much easier. The only thing i had a problem with was that most of the nurses didnt even bother knocking when entering the room and would just come in and try to pick up my daughter without even washing thier hands or introducing themselves. I am so Thankful for this Hospital every time I have had to bring my child to this hospital it has been pleasant. I have a son whom suffers from Chronic lung Disease several times a year it lands us here. This morning (wee hours may I add) we found ourselves sitting in the ER. We were greeted with smiling faces and given immediate attention. Without fail once again Vanderbilt has gone above and beyond!
I don't have any tips or suggestions. But wanted to give a shout out to Dr Jill Steigelfest at 100 Oaks clinic. She's an amazing and compassionate Dr who I trust completely!
I recently brought my two week old baby to your ER for a 100.5 fever. Her temp quickly rose to nearly 102. The ER staff, team of doctors, nurses, CPs, and students were amazing. We needed a three day hospital stay and while having your newborn admitted is terrifying, every staff member made me feel at ease and cared for and kept me informed constantly. So grateful for everyone who cared for us over the last few days. Thank you all so much!
Hi my name is Dustin I I went there to get surgery done on my arm because I punched out a window and it cut through my arm and cut my main artery and they did a very good job and took care of me if I ever get hurt again really badly that's where I'm going back to Vanderbilt y'all guys are amazing the food is amazing well of course I say that cuz I'm a fat boy lol and the doctors and nurses are nice they even bought me a pizza from Pizza Hut what was really cool.
