Being ignored by the nurses as we speak. Asked them where to go to shower because I am in the "ant" room on the 6th floor which as no bathroom at all. I am being ignored just like yesterday when I ask them to put a guest tray in for me. It took them 3 hours to do so and they were all sitting at the computer playing on their phones. It's been a hour now since I asked this nurse and she has just been playing on her phone. Now she has taken break. Love when the nurses think they are to good to help anyone out because it isn't t... read more

This place is more than great. Everyone who cared for my son was more than excellent and good to me as well. They were very caring and reassuring. I would recommend this hospital a thousand times over. A big THANK YOU to everyone that cared for my son in the PICU and on the 8th floor. I wish I could remember all of their names to thank them one by one again.

I feel it's very important to warn parents about this hospital. Don't be fooled by a false reputation of treatment for kids. My child was put on a waiting list for several months until recently we were notified that we had an appointment. We moved mountains to get here, prayed to be taken off the waiting list, took off work, been through dozens of meetings, and drove an hour and a half for our appointment only to be told they were refusing to see our child. Apparently, their system said that we had an appointment at 7:45am. ... read more

Have had nothing but issues with this place. I escalated a billing issue to their legal department and amazing how that issue was resolved. The other issue I had was the day of my child's outpatient surgery. They changed the surgery time without telling me. I would not have agreed to it. I encountered the nastiest nurse practitioner ever who was obviously on a power trip. Because of a paperwork issue, surgery was delayed and I about came unglued. Telling a 4 year old not to eat or drink for hours is not easy and then because... read more

My daughter was transported to Nashville by ambulance, she was having trouble breathing.. Had double pneumonia.. And three days before had a T&A , wasn't eating or drinking, or going to the bathroom , the moment she got with them she improved!!!! I could never thank them enough for the amount of care and love they showed my daughter and me! I know every story at Vanderbilt isn't like ours! I know some end different, just want to thank you all again, for everything! Our overall experience was wonderful! We couldn't have asked... read more

My son was transported here by ambulance March 8th, we spent almost a week here, a day of which was in the ER due to high demands in Critical care where my son needed. He was in DKA and diagnosed as a type one diabetic at the age of 22 months. He got LOTS of attention every hour on the hour (sometimes more). After the first day we were moved to a room where he got the same love and attention. The nurses were of course more personable in his own room due to it being more so a calm environment. But this hospital saved my sons ... read more
