this hospital provide most critical surgery (brain) but does not provide in house rehab for patients who do not recover as quickly( 30%). so the patients under 11 years old must be transported to atlanta or memphis if they can afford it. So my family needs support and care now and we cannot provide this becaude they were transported four hours away from home. And if a family cannot afford to go that far child must suffer.
Took my son for his second visit trying to see why he has been having such bad GI issues. The doctor is amazing however the timing of getting test results is terrible. We had X-rays on Friday and were told results would be in that afternoon or Monday and we would get a call Monday. I left 2 messages yesterday and 1 today and still no call about results. It's never a good thing when you need to take your kid to the hospital, but this hospital was phenomenal. From doctors,the nurses, to the care partners to the extras like the music therapist. They all go above and beyond to do their best to make it as comfortable for you and your child in the situation your in. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart, you were all wonderful. We are always please with the doctors, nurses, staff and surroundings at MCJCH.
Was the best hospital experience I have ever had.
We were seen immediately. I have never been treated as well as I was last night. My son needed to be checked in the Children's ER and we were beyond impressed with care. Update: my son had surgery Friday. It was his first and this mama was so nervous. The team that worked on his gave me such peace of mind. Dr. Thomas (pediatric urology specialist) was absolutely amazing.
My twin girls were born at 26 weeks and were so well taken care of. I love all our nurses and thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
This was one of the scariest events for my child and I and this team was awesome Hannah (blonde with black frame glasses and the young man that was ur partner this night 9/6/17 I do wish I could remember his name but I can't remember half of what was said to me d/t " nerve shock " lol but yuns were awesom thanks for the wonderful care and kind words from everyone!
The whole team is awesome! They are really nice and always make sure we r comfortable they listen and make sure everything is great before we go dr Lovejoy is a amazing dr and so nice I would recommend him to anyone
