We were recommended the hotel from friends for a special occasion but were disappointed with our stay. Our room was one of the ‘farmhouse’ rooms which looked lovely online. The room is very small and the bed was very uncomfortable. Both my husband and I woke with sore backs the following day. There was also no fridge in the room. We went for down for dinner 10 minutes early to enjoy the bar area. This area is very small and isn’t super relaxing as it’s a thoroughfare for guests and staff moving about. Stayed here last weekend for my sister's wedding - there was a storm and a power cut and it could have been a disaster but the whole team at Monachyle Mhor ensured we all had an incredible time and went above and beyond for everyone and it was utterly magical. Incredible location, hotel and food. I plan to return at some point!
