Our family has welcomed friends and guests since 1975, earning us the title “A Tradition in Traverse City”. Great steaks, fresh seafood and meaty BBQ ribs are skillfully prepared. Our homemade sauces and dressings are a blend of the finest herbs and the best ingredients to compliment every meal. We have won many awards over the years for our steaks and prime rib; Detroit News has voted us best restaurant in Michigan.

RecommendedWe ate here on Saturday night. We stayed at Bayshore Resort and the receptionist told us about this place. Everything was delicious and the prices were reasonable. We had Porterhouse steaks. I would definitely recommend this restaurant!
Great Steaks 🥩. 👏👏👏👏👏🔥🙌🤠 Cozy relaxed atmosphere. Nice genuine staff. The Garlic Peppercorn Dry Rub was a home run. Salad bar was good too. Homemade Cherry 🍒 Cheesecake for desert hit the spot .

Every year last Monday before Christmas they have an adult Christmas party to raise money for next years toys for kids program. Last year they raised $10,000,00 with matching funds. You should plan on being there in 2019
Everyone talks about the steaks, which are great, but the walleye is outstanding and they will do it your way! By the way, if you don’t like waiting for a table for an hour, don’t go between 6-8pm on the weekends. Go early or go late or go during the week and you will have a much shorter wait. My worst experiences at Mode’s are times when people waiting at the bar are staring with the stink eye as soon as you finish your plate, even though the others at your table are clearly not finished. Very good steak. Wonderful service.
Phenomenal Filet and Shrimp dinner. Pleasant and attentive waitress. Highly recommend fitting this place into your plans while in TC.
