Our family has welcomed friends and guests since 1975, earning us the title “A Tradition in Traverse City”. Great steaks, fresh seafood and meaty BBQ ribs are skillfully prepared. Our homemade sauces and dressings are a blend of the finest herbs and the best ingredients to compliment every meal. We have won many awards over the years for our steaks and prime rib; Detroit News has voted us best restaurant in Michigan.

I worked at Modes throughout the 90s. It was a great place to work as well as the food. Friendly staff. Great location. And now many years later...I STILL look forward to going to Modes every time that I am in town. Food and friendly values haven’t changed over the years! Plenty of options on the menu and perfectly cooked steak. Service was great considering the place was packed. Parking was a challenge in the area which is quite popular in the summer months. I would certainly return.

We learned of this place from our Uber driver, Paul. It was amazing. Food was delicious, service (Debbie) was fabulous, and we loved the old Chicago style atmosphere! A must go to when in town! 5 Stars!!!!
