Our family has welcomed friends and guests since 1975, earning us the title “A Tradition in Traverse City”. Great steaks, fresh seafood and meaty BBQ ribs are skillfully prepared. Our homemade sauces and dressings are a blend of the finest herbs and the best ingredients to compliment every meal. We have won many awards over the years for our steaks and prime rib; Detroit News has voted us best restaurant in Michigan.

Great food, service and fair prices. Can’t beat this old family owned steak house restaurant in downtown Traverse City.
Wonderful time at Bum Steer tonight! We had a party of 15 and showed up at the last minute and they took care of us. Trixie our waitress was amazing, worth coming back for the service alone... but the food was excellent which sealed the deal. Will be back next time I travel here for sure!
